Rep. Jesse Jackson, Jr. has been on a congressional visit to Darfur.

On March 15, 2005 Rep. Jackson introduced an amendment for $250 million to the $82 billion Supplemental Wartime Appropriations Act (H.R. 1268). The Jackson Amendment included $150 million for food aid to the Sudan and $100 million for disaster relief and refugee assistance aid to Sudan.

Rep. Jackson received extra credit for co-sponsoring the China Resolution on Darfur in 2007.
